Deputising for the Postmaster-General, Mr. Anthony Wedgewood Ben, who was on an election tour, 11 year-old Kenneth Tonkin of Blandford Road, Beckenham, opened the national stamp exhibition ("Stampex") at the Central Hall, Westminster, London, - he was chosen because he was the youngest winner of the Stampex competition. Holding the football which was presented to him - it bears the autographs of the entire Brazillian soccer team and is valued at over ?00 - he is seen looking at the Jules Rimet Trophy which is being shown their stand by Stanley Gibbons the stamp dealer. The trophy is solid gold and insured for ?0,000. It is being kept under continuous guard throughout the exhibition which runs until March 26. March 18th 1966
