PRIMO CARNERA Standing six feet seven inches in height and weighing nearly seventeen stone. Carnera was, until about four years ago, a stone-breaker. His gigantic stature, however, brought him into prominence with meteoric rapidity, and in June, 1933, he won the world title from Jack Sharkey on a knock-out. He has lost few fights, notably to Larry Gains and the late Young Stribling. Carnera is, for his size, undoubtedly the quickest and most scientific heavyweight boxer in the history of professional boxing.
