On the grounds of economy British Railways are threatening to close a branch line from Ashchurch in Glos to Great Malvern in Worcs. Most keenly affected by the threat to the service are the 832 villagers of Ripple, Worcs which has no bus service through the village. Villagers use the trains for travelling to nearby Tewkesbury and Ashchurch.
