A colossal figure of Buddha weighing 20 tons and dating from the 5th century is being erected at Burlington House for the Exhibition of Chinese Art. Thi is the first mammoth Buddhist monument to come to England, and its enormous bulk has proved something of a problem to the Exhibition authorities.
