A quarter of an hour after the congregation had left the morning service fire broke out and completely destroyed All Saints Church in Hockerill Bishop's Stortford Herts - the firs is believed to have been started by candles - three brigades from Bishop's Stortford and Bembridgeworth and Albury were hampered in their work by a water shortage - the church is more than 100 years old - photo shows the blazing church June 21st 1935
