Flying Officer E Mole ( holder of the British motorless plane endurance record - left Hanworth in a tiny glider powered by a motor cycle engine similar to that recently flown across the Channel - in an attempt to the fly to the Isle fo Man to win the celebrations following the Tourists Trophy motor cycle races - Flying Officer Mole was seen off at Hanworth by Mary Kronfeld ( the Austrial expert ) who made the flight to Paris in a similar machine at a cost of 6 shillings (30p) - photo shows Flying Officer E L Mole in the cockpit of his motor cycle glider talking to Herr Kronfeld before his flight June 21st 1935
