David Dale ( former steeplechase jockey ) works such wonders with crocked horses by means of seawater that he is known in racing circles as the Miracle Man - Mr Dale lives at Bishopstone near Seaford in Sussex - many owners wishing to prolong the career of a horse with an unsound leg have enlisted the aid of Mr Dale and astonishing cures have been effected - recently Cranford St Andrew has been condemned by veterinary surgeons and was in such a bad state that he could not put one foot down - yet after treatment this horse won the Mole Handicap Steeplechase at Sandown Park - miracles are wrought by swimming - a horse suffering from leg trouble is taken into the water and is compelled to use his knee to keep himself afloat - gradually he regains the use of the limb - photo shows four racehorses taking the cure in the surf at Seaford - second from left is Master Orange ( a grand National candidate ) and on the right is Cranford St Andrew ( the horse which won a race after treatment - in front is Taffeta and third from the left is Stop Gap February 10th 1935
