One ship was sunk and five people had remarkable escapes when two motor-vessels collided in the Thames fairway at Woolwich Reach - the wife of A Beck ( the skipper of the Dutch motor-vessel Pinquin ) was rescued and her husband and the three other men comprising the crew of the boat were also saved - the boat laden with sugar was bound for Antwerp - the other vessel in the collision was the German motor-vessel Vaddergeraat - this boat is badly damaged and is beached in Silvertown Reach - the Pinquin sank within two minutes and is now a danger to shipping - photo shows the beached Vaddergeraat November 26th 1934
