Colonel Charles Lindberg - rushing to his car after an arduous session at the trial of Bruno Richard Hauptmann - slipped on the icy pavement and almost fell outside Hunterdon County Court in Flemington in New Jersey where the case is taking place - Hauptmann is on trial at Flemington for the alleged kidnapping and murder of Colonel Lindbergh's baby son January 25th 1935
