Cary Grant ( English born film actor ) was taken to hospital in Hollywood and given emergency treatment for poisoning - Dr Cornell ( Grant's physician ) is stated to have said that the actor had taken deadly poison the effects of which were averted by the use of a stomach pump - the incident follows a quarrel between Cary Grant and his film actress wife Virginia Cherrill to whom he was married in London - after the quarrel Virginia Charrill left her husband's home and went home to her mother - photo shows Cary Grant and Virginia Cherrill at breakfast in their Hollywood home shortly before the quarrel October 5th 1934
