Discoveries of considerable importance to the archaeological world have been made at the rear of a drapery establishment in High Street Barnet - workmen engaged in excavation work for laying foundations discovered a Roman flint wall 28 feet long and constructed in similar manner to the Roman walls discovered at St Albans - near one of the walls a covered wall 27 feet deep was unearthed - photo shows Mr J W Clark of High Street Barnet examining the Roman wall discovered at Barnet July 15th 1934
