An appeal by Mr Clarence Nathaniel Johnstone ( coloured variety singer ) against an award of ?,500 damages to Mr Albert Sandler ( violinist ) because of the misconduct of Johnstone and Mrs Sandler was heard in the Court of Appeal - the suit came before the President of the Divorce Division Sir Boyd Merriman and a special jury on March 6 and 7 and Mr Sandler was granted a decree nisi - photo shows Mr Clarence Johnstone and Mrs Sandler after the hearing May 7th 1934
