Three men in a motorcar drove up to the premises of Messrs J R Ogdens the Court Jewellers in Duke Street London - one of the men got out and smashed the plate glass with an iron instrument - he grabbed jewellery to the value of ?,000 returned to the car and drove off - the alarm was given by Reginald Knife a messenger boy but the raiders disappeared - photo shows the manager of the jewellery shop Mr R Avison with reginald Knife the messenger boy after the raid - the manager is pointing to the hole made by the bandit April 17th 1934
