Miss Phyllis Harding ( swimming champion ) was married at St Alban's Church Golders Green to Mr James Turner ( a London solicitor ) - Miss Harding ( a member of the Croydon Ladies' Swimming Club ) is the world back stroke champion and is the holder of several world records - she has swum for England in international events every year since 1929 - photo shows A J Perring ( the Amateur Swimming Association handicapper ) toasting the bride and groom at the reception which followed the ceremony April 1st 1934
