Lady Isobel Blunt-Mackenzie ( beautiful 23 years old daughter of the Countess of Cromartie and Colonel Blunt-Mackenzie ) at Strathpeffer in Scotland - she is with Miss Daphne Day ( whose home is at Chichester ) and they both will sail tomorrow in a small tramp steamer for the glamorous East without a guide - unguarded and unarmed and with no knowledge of the language the girls are going to Damascus where they intend to join a camel caravan and travel with it through lonely wild and bandit-infested country down into Persia - the two girls who were friends at school are embarking on the adventure just for fun - photo shows Lady Isobel Blunt-Mackenzie ( right ) and Miss Daphne Day talking over their plans in London March 19th 1934
