Dr Peter Carl Goldmark - head of Pye Radio Co - with his television projector invention - He has devised a system by which news and sporting events can be transmitted from the actual scene to the cinemas sound apparatus and thence onto the screens producing an image equal in brilliance and size to that of the usual talking film - he has also invented a vest pocket television projector for the home which throws the transmitted picture in black and white on a special screen - he has been able to reduce the width of the normal frequency band by half - his complete Television News Service transmitter is mounted on a van and can be moved from place to place - the inventor is head of the television laboratories of the Pye Radio company at Cambridge - he is also grand nephew of the famous composer August 21st 1933
