Vic Huxley - the famous dirt track rider - has taken to the air and has won the Woodside Challenge Cup in convincing style - the cup is competed for twice yearly under the auspices of the Herts and Essex Aero Club - Mr Huxley has done only 25 hours' flying and was victorious over many experienced pilots - the course for the race was over 40 miles and was unknown to the pilots - all of whom flew solo - until just before the start when they were given charts of the course - they were required to drop sandbags at certain places - Mr Huxley's time for the race was 30 minutes - photo shows Mr Vic Huxley and his wife showing the Woodside Challenge Cup to a friend May 15th 1933
