Caughoo a 100-1 Irish "Unkown" owned by Mr J.J. McDowell, ridden by E.Dempsey, won the Grand National at Aintree this afternoon from " Lough Conn" second, and "Kami" third. . The winner being led in after its great victory. Miss McDowell who is the sister of the owner of the winner had the honour of leading in "Caughoo". 29 march 1947
