Laurel, Maryland: with the hopes of thousands of punters, both big and small, Ballymoss is paraded to the starting posts for laurel international race at Laurel park, Maryland on November 11. Alas, the great horse came third in a photo finish for second and third place. Winner was Tudor Era, but was disqualified from first place after a foul claim had been lodged, and placed second with Sailor抯 Guide, who was second, declared the winner. Ballymoss is ridden by Beasley. A crowd came to watch the Washington D.C. international race. 13 November 1958
