Close to 10,000 police, aided by helecopters and even patrol boats on the Thames r4iver, were on active duty. The demonstrartion, constantly chanting such slogans as "Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh", and Down With American Imperialism", stopped briefly in front of Australian House to burn an Australian Flag, before moving on. Australian troops are fighting with American in Vietnam. from Trafalgar Square, most of the marches went to Whitehall site of Britian,s foregin ministry, but a smaller group broke off and went to the U.S. Embassy in Grovenor Sq2uare, the focal point for troublemakers. 27 October 1968
