Dwarfed by the new Shell "skyscraper" is the "sun cottage". One of three new portable homes being inspected by London County Council housing committee, which is considering making temporary use of its vacant sites which are not required immediately for redevlopment. The "cottge" is a complete home, equipped with necessary fittings, fixtures and furniture. the house is transportable as two separate units which can be joined together in under an hour by a "bot-tight" seal and is supported by steel jacks on concrete pads. The "cottage" has two double bedrooms and a lounge, kitchen and bathroom. 21st Novembef 1961
