The Turbomotive considered a starting innovation in British railway practice, is at Euston Station after having been built at the Crew works. the Turbomotive is the firat turbine driven locomotive to be built by a British railway company. It is to be employed experimentally on the haulage of 500-ton expresses over the mainline between London and Glasgow. It is of 2,000 horse-power and weighs over 163 tons. 27 June 1936
