Pretoria, South Africa: Africans assembled outside Pretoria's Supreme Court yesterday raise their fists in anger after hearing the verdicts in the Rivonia Sabotage trial, in which South Africa's "Black Pimpernel" Nelson Mandala, former leader of The Afican National Congress and seven of his supporters sentenced under the Sabotage Act, the Supression Of Communism Act and the General Law Amendment Act. were Sentanced to life imprisonment. A ninth man on trial was acquited but was re-arrested immediately he was released on another charge. 12 June 1964
