This wooden frame for a wax writing tablet was found during digging on the site of the Roman rubbish pits at Walbrook, City of London. It is now on show at the Guildhall museum. The tablet bears impressions of a stylus left in the soft wood where it had been pressed too hard through the wax. A Roman bronze stylus (bent) of the type used for writing on the wax tablets is also shown. The broad end serving as an eraser august 3rd 1950
