8th November 1957: Chelsea versus Soviet Army. After being defeated by West Bromwich Albion and Bolton, the Soviet Army hit back at Stamford Bridge against a "young" Chelsea team. Photo shows: Voroshilov, Soviet Army's inside-left, scores their second goal. Matthews, the England and Chelsea goalkeeper made some fine saves during the game, but the Chelsea defence was left standing.
