Argentinian Driver Juan Fangio (number L8) amd German Driver Karl Kling (20), drive their Mercedes Cars Close together during the final laps of the Grand Prix of France. So completly did the Mercedes Cars overcome the opposition that the drivers finished together, Fangio being the winner by one tenth of a second. The winning average speed, a record, was 115.596 M.P.H. it was the Mercedes Benz Firm's first post war appearance in Grand Prix motor racing. 5 July 1954
