Franz Liszt. Famous Hungarian composer and piano virtuoso. 1811-1886 Franz Liszt was a close friend of the Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen. They met in Wien after HCA had been to Liszt'z concert. They often met in Wien and Copenhagen to discuss music and opera, and Liszt helped HCA by making the music to one of HCA's operas, Klein Karin, and took care of the production in Weimar. The year of 2005 is the 200-year anniversary for Hans Christian Andersen's birth. Due to this there will be a global celebration to remember and honour the Danish author.
