Belfast, Northern Ireland: British Home Secretary, Mr James Callaghan, (centre, holding loudhailer), is greeted by a large crowd of local residents, as he makes a visit here on October 11th, to the Bogside area of the city. Uniformed man is Sir Arthur Young, the new inspector General for Ulster, who introduced Callaghan to the crowds. Last Night, three people were killed, and at least 43 injured, during a 'Night of Terror', following the clash between 200 troops and 2,000 strong mob protesting against the proposal to disband the B-Specials. Mr Callaghan, who is on a week-end visit to Northern Ireland, was kept in touch with the troubles at his Dunmuray Hotel, fives miles from the City Centre. 12 October 1969
