Film still from "A Night to Remember" This was one of the very few occasions when an officer had to use a gun on board a British ship to bring a panic-stricken mob to order. The officer was the Titanic's Second Officer C H Lightoller played by Kenneth More in the film. Although the gun was fired only into the air it stemmed the panic.. 1958
