The Sword of Arthur is carried by the Swordbearer Gwas (Arthur Hambly) before the Lady of Cornwall (Mrs Borlase Faull) during the ceremony of the Offering (symbolic of God's gifts to mankind) in the Gorsedd at Boscawen Un, West Cornwall. The Lady acts of behalf of the Women and Children of Cornwall in the Gorsedd in which Arthur's Sword plays a prominent part as symbol of the old belief that the King of Chivalry is to return and restore nationhood to Cornwall. The Gorsedd is held near an ancient Druidical Circle, exists to perpetuate Cornish language, literature and art. 3rd September 1950
