Gustav-Hippolyte Worms - French actor born in Paris 21 March 1837. He graduated from the Conservatoire in 1857, winning the first prize for tragedy and the second for comedy. Soon afterward he was engaged at the Th殪tre Fran蓷is, where he made his d嶵ut in 1859 as Achille in "Duc Job." He secured a contract with the Th殪tre-Michel, St. Petersburg, then returned to appear at the Gymnase as Armand Duval in "La Dame aux Cam幨ias". Worms was called to the Com嶮ie-Fran蓷ise, Paris, in 1877, and elected a "soci彋aire" in the following year. He retired from the stage in 1901. ?007 TopFoto
