Frederic-Auguste Albert - Roi de Saxe 1828-1902 - Albert (April 23, 1828 - June 19, 1902) was a King of Saxony (1873-1902) of the House of Wettin. Born Frederick Augustus Albert (German: Friedrich August Albert) in the Saxon capital Dresden, he was the eldest son of the family. Albert had a successful military career leading Saxon troops which participated in the First War of Schleswig, the Austro-Prussian War, and the Franco-Prussian War.
