The Charter of the United Nations was drawn up and signed at the United Nations COnference on International Organization (San Francisco COnference), which met at San Francisco from April 25 to June 26, 1945, At the Conference, the proposed Charter was divided into four sections, each of which was considered by a comission. The four comissions were subdivided into twelve technical committees. THis method was adopted as the speediest way of ensuring the fullest discussion.
