Brickbarn Close, a new block of luxurious workers' flats built by the Chelsea Council on a bombed site in King's Road, is almost finished. Each flat contains three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom, and an exclusive rent of 16s 6d has been recommended. Mr Anthony Smith, G.C., who gained his award during a bomb incident on the site in 1944 is to perform the opening ceremony on the 21st.
