Dewar's Tudor Minstrel, ridden by Gordon Richards, scored a stylish and popular victory in the 2,000 Guineas, first of the season's classics, at Newmarket today (Wednesday) The Minstrel was eight lengths in front of Princess Aly Khan's Saravan and the Maharaja of Baroda's Sayajirao, fighting for second place After a photo finish had been submitted to the judge, second place by a short head was awarded to Saravan.
