Federal Government Employees are now being moved from their homes in Rio De Janeiro to blocks of flats in Brasilia's residential area. Each block is built on stilts with space for cars below the ground floor. Civil servants are being offered attractive flats for as little as ? a month in as effort to induce them to leave their hones in Rio. Those not employed by the Government must pay considerably more fro new housing in Brasilia. The Government has begun a "Crash Programme" to lay out parks and plant lawns before the flats are occupied February 1961
