Arkle (No 6) is pictured taking a fence with jockey Pat Taaffe, alongside Sartorius (No 4) ridden by TW Biddlecombe, before going on to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the third day of the National Hunt meeting. Second was Dormant (M. Scudamore) and third was Snaigow, (D. Nicholson) 17th March 1966.
