The murder car of Deadman's Hill, Bedfordshire, was found in a street at Ilford, Essex, last night. Early today police throughout London and the Home Counties were hunting the maniac who shot dead 37 year old Michael Gregsten and seriously wounded 20 year old Valerie Storie. The killer, who had dumped the girl and the dead man beside the A6 road at Clophill, Bedfordshire, drove Mr Gregsten's grey Morris Minor 50 miles to the spot where it was found - in Avondale Crescent, where it was parked all day. In Bedford General Hospital last night, Valerie, whose condition was still "very serious" after an operation, was able to tell the detectives about their terrible drive at gunpoint by the man to whom they had given a lift.
