Ronald Chesney Found Shot, 17th February 1954 Ronald Chesney, husband of Mrs Chesney who was found murdered in an Ealing Old Folks Home with her mother last week, was found shot by the German police in a wood near Cologne yesterday. 27 years ago in his own name of John Donald Merrett he was accused of the murder of his mother in Edinburgh but the verdict was "Not Proven". This picture of Merrett, alias Chesney, was taken in 1927 at the time of his trial.
