An army of New York City unemployed, numbering about 5,000 beseiged the state labor bureau biulding, Nov 24, attracted by 90,000 Federal relief jobs. The building houses the State Temporary Employument Relief Administration No announcement was made that jobs were actually to be had, but that offices wouldbe opened for registrations. The crowd of unemployed began to gather at 5 a.m. and a large force of police was necessary to keep the jobless in order.
