A pair of enormous boots mount the steps to a BEA liner at London Airport today (Sunday) as COCO THE CLOWN (in private life Mr Nikolai Polakovs, OBE) leaves in his full clown's regalia for Cologne, where he will entertain orphan children attending a typical English tea party. An energetic campaigner for children's safety on the roads, he will address the children on road safety. Coco was awarded the National Trophy for the Road Safety of Children as the individual judged to have made the greatest contribution by personal effort towards the safety of children on the road during 1962. 22nd September 1963
