The flying bedstead ready to take off at the Rolls Royce flight establishment at Hucknall in Nottinghamshire. Special dispensation has been obtained from the Air Ministry to fly it without number plates or registration identifications for the simple reason that there is no where to put identification marks. The Bedstead has been flown at a height of 25ft by Rolls Royce Test Pilots 27th January 1955
