John Reginald Halliday Christie, who was yesterday charged with the murder of his wife, Ethel Christie, was brought before the West London stipendiary magistrate this morning. The murder, which is alleged to have taken place "on or about 14 December 1952", was discovered when police found the remains of at least six women concealed in the house and garden of No 10 Rillington Place, Notting Hill.
