Acorns for Peace Beatle John Lennon and wife Yoko, after arriving at London (Heathrow) Airport 1st April 1969. They had been staying in bed for a week at the Hilton Hotel Amsterdam, as a protest against world violence. They are each holding a small acorn, which they announced they are sending to each of the world's leaders, to ask them to plant them for peace.
