Lagonda 2.5 litre coupe. First Lagonda model was a tri-car; up to 1939, however, Lagonda evolved into one of the most powerful and luxurious cars in the world, with the mighty V12. Present model is a 2.5 litre, developing over 100bhp. Unique feature is the cruciform chassis frame; also unique in Britain is the all-round independent suspension, and the Cotal electro-magnetic gear-change, an alternative to the standard David Brown synchromesh box. A luxury car, the Lagonda owes its smooth, silent speed to its 6 cylinder OHV engine.
