Aston Martin 2 litre sports model. Lionel Martin, ace driver of the post-World War I epoch won the Aston Clinton-Hill-climb so often, that he gave the name Aston-Martin to his early cars. Finer and faster still is the present 2-litre Sports, winner of the 1948 Spa 24 hours Grand Prix. Features are its built-up boxy frame, light but rigid; its all-round use of coil springs, and its 4 cylinder OHV engine which develops 90bhp at 4750rpm. Despite its streamlined, ultra-fast body styling, you can still recognise its familiar radiator shell, with the traditional winged badge.
