THIRD CLASS STATEROOM Adequate space, the provision of running hot and cold water, modern ventilation and heating, and convenient equipment - these briefly are the up-to-date refinements which set the Queen Mary's third class staterooms in a category by themselves. Though the number of third class passengers to be carried is more restricted than in pre-war times, the standard of accommodation is enormously superior, and, in fact, reveals many entirely new features. The staterooms, as the illustration shows, are furnished in a most complete and attractive manner. Spaciousness is the keynote, and the mahogany bedsteads are fitted with special spring interior mattresses, designed to afford maximum comfort. Each room has fitted dressing tables, wash basins, with hot and cold water laid on, comfortable chairs and convenient stools. Throughout the accommodation the thermotank system of ventilation is installed.
