Thames Television. "The Plank". Eric Sykes and Arthur Lower are the main stars of this half-hour comedy which observes the progress of two workmen and a floorboard - The Plank - from woodyard to building sites. But filling the minor roles are a score of well known names - as lorry drivers, milkman, a policeman, a painter, a dustman, a model, a hitch hiker and sundry other ordinary folk who become involved - innocently or maliciously - in the story of The Plank. The supporting cast, in alphabetical order, is Lionel Blair, Henry Cooper, Harry H Corbett, Bernard Cribbins, Robert Dorning, Diana Dors, Charles Drake, Jimmy Edwards, Liza Goddard, Deryck Guyler, Charles Hawtrey, Frankie Howerd, James Hunt, Wilfred Hyde White, Joanna Lumley, Kenny Lynch, Brian Murphy, Kate O'Mara, Ann Sidney, Reg Varney and Frank Windsor.
