LONDON: People on their way to work this morning (Monday) are wondering how the devaluation of the pound, announced by Sir Stafford Cripps, the Chancellor of the Exchaquer in his broadcast from Downing street here will effect them. In his speach, Sir Stafford said that the only immediate increase in cost in Britain would be the increase in the price of bread - from 4 1/2d to 6d.
