The Japenese Barracks in Hongkew, Shaghai, now the centre of severe fighting. The barracks stated by the Japanese to be "temporary", have 6 foot thick concrete walls which are bombproof and the windows fitted with bullet-proof shutters. The Japanese troops are reported to be stemming the vigourous thrust against the barracks which they are determined to hold. 15 August 1937.
